MD Learning 2.1 Thing 10 - Bubbl.us

This is another great site. I don't particularly love flowcharts (I'm a computer science major that spent half her time using them for programming!) but I like the mind maps.

Here is one I made for Spring Programing using Bubbl.us.

I'm going to try using this type of chart more at work, they are great for planning!

MD Learning 2.1 Thing 9 - Zamzar

Now this is a site I will use!

Since I'm a font-aholic, my fancy office documents have to be converted over to .pdf. However we only have one staff computer that has adobe professional installed on it! Sometimes there is a wait before I can convert it and send it off to my other co-workers.

Now I can convert files from any computer for free! Plus it has all kinds of different options for video, music, compression and pictures.

MD Learning 2.1 Thing 8 - Pandora

I already use both music sites. I particularly LOVE Pandora! I've always liked streaming music sites, but Pandora is especially useful in discovering new bands similar to your favorite artists.

Also, Pandora is now avaiable on ipod touch and iphones!

MD Learning 2.1 Thing 7 - Slideshare

I really like this site! It's a great way to share office powerpoint and excel documents on the internet - especially to blogs and other social networking sites.

Here is my test slideshow:

MD Learning 2.1 Thing 6 - Twitter

I like the idea of twitter! I have an account now and I'm learning how to use it better. I like the idea of broadcasting test messages. It makes it much easier to share with all your friends and family.

Unfortunately, as with this, blogs and other Web 2.x services, my problem is I have nothing interesting to say! LOL!

MD Learning 2.1 Thing 5 - LitLovers

How conditioned am I that the first thing I looked for is the sign up link? I was almost at a loss! LOL!

LitLovers looks like a great site. I've already ordered the books for the first LitCourse (unfortunately my branch didn't have them). The site offers great tips for book clubs.

MD Learning 2.1 Thing 4 - Jott

Here is my Jott reminder:

I also set up posting to blogger. My Jott Blog post is here: amysbloggertestblog.blogspot.com/2008/10/this-is-my-second-jott.html

It didn't transcribe me perfectly, but it might be my accent...

However, I must say it was fun to use! The only problem I had was in setting up my blogger account on Jott. I had to do some FAQ crawling, but once I knew what to do, it was quite simple.

I think I might continue using Jott. I always seem to have these weird inspirational moments about projects at work when I'm NOT at work. This might be useful in keeping them recorded and safely archived - for when I get into work!
